Sport and exercise has always been both a hobby and passion of mine. Working with Fierce Fit clients gives me the unique opportunity to carry that over into my working life. Fierce Fit offers women the chance to find their enthusiasm and passion for fitness which I find hugely satisfying.

Meet Tessa

Tessa graduated with her Bachelor of Physiotherapy from the University of Otago, New Zealand in 2013. Following her graduation, she began working as a sports physiotherapist, working with high level football teams as well as national level athletics athletes. While working in New Zealand Tessa gained her qualifications in acupuncture. In 2016, she packed her bags and made the move to Manchester to broaden her horizons and see the world. Since arriving in Manchester, Tessa has gained her APPI Level One certification in Pilates instructing. Tessa currently works as a musculoskeletal physiotherapist as well as instructing Physiolates classes.

Sport and exercises has always featured prominently in Tessa’s life, having run several half marathons, played regional level football as well as leading Pilates classes. Tessa sees the value in being active as well sa encouraging other women to find their love for exercise.

Tessa know that exercise can be hard work, and finding your motivation can be difficult. Fierce Fit aims to remove the barriers for women to enjoy exercise, enjoy either bodies, making exercise fun, not a chore.

Fierce Fit has been developed specifically for women, by women and run by women. We are passionate about what we do and what we are trying to achieve. If you want to find your passion, this is the right place for you!

At Fierce Fit, you are receiving specialist training from someone who has experience in working with females. At Fierce Fit we remove the social pressures of conventional personal training and allow women to feel confident and comfortable while they train. You are surrounded by like minded people who are there to work hard and support each other at the same time!

I have always played sport from a young age, mostly for the social aspect, and as I’ve grown, i have continued with sport and exercise for the physical and mental benefits i gain from it. In 2015 i suffered serious damage to my right knee playing football, resulting in reconstructive surgery and an inability to partake in high intensity team sports following that surgery. Sport and exercise then became an independent hobby, driving me to find what exercise i enjoy to stay in shape and feel good mentally. I now attend the gym 4 times a week, focusing on weights as well as running 3 Pilates classes a week. I think regular exercise has a huge benefit my mental health as well as feeling good about myself. No-one else knows I’ve worked out, it’s like a secret, I know I have and it makes me feel great!

It’s all about finding a style of exercise that you enjoy. Every person is different and will enjoy a different type of exercise. Once you find that, the client will naturally engage more and give more energy to their work out. On another level, building rapport with your client is essential, they will work hard for you if you get to know them and their goals. Personal training is just that, personal. So find what makes your client tick and work with them in mind.

Happy Clients
